WRed
Today, on December 15, the energy ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan will sign an agreement regarding the construction of the Iğdır-Nakhchivan gas pipeline. This project, which has been discussed for years, aims to deliver gas to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which does not share a land border with Azerbaijan, via Turkish territory.
Currently, Nakhchivan receives gas from neighboring Iran. It is noted that the project will be implemented by the Turkish state gas company BOTAŞ and the Azerbaijani state company SOCAR.
