I Hope Nikol Pashinyan Will Find the Courage Within Himself: Karen Karapetyan
The former Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, has issued a statement regarding the current situation in the country, stating:
“The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh are in a deep crisis—moral, psychological, political, economic, social, and values-based. It is hard to imagine a deeper crisis. What more could happen? I believe that the government under whose management this crisis has arisen, by remaining in power, will severely limit the possibilities for the country's development and the likelihood of utilizing the nation's potential and capabilities. Considering, on one hand, Azerbaijan's consistent and aggressive policy aimed at consolidating its successes, and on the other hand, the challenges awaiting Armenia, the continuation of this crisis day by day harms us and only us.
This critical moment is the most significant test for the government to show whether they are capable of rising above narrow political interests, demonstrating high awareness by providing the country with peace, allowing political forces to rethink their past path and shape a vision for the future, and giving the people the opportunity to establish a new government in calm conditions. I hope that the Prime Minister will find the courage to make a decision to step down for the sake of our country's future.”
