Earthquake with Magnitude 4.7 Recorded in Turkey
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 has been recorded in eastern Turkey. This has been reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The tremors occurred at 12:58 AM local time on December 15. The epicenter was located 46 km north of the city of Van, which has a population of approximately 371,000 residents. The focus of the earthquake was at a depth of 9 km.
