Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan has made a statement: "Dear compatriots, considering that December 19 marks the 40th day since the ceasefire of the 44-day war, we have agreed with the Prime Minister of Armenia to declare a three-day mourning in both Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia starting from that day to honor the memory of our fallen heroes who died in defense of the homeland.
Their names will forever remain in our hearts and in the pages of Armenian history, obliging us to continue their noble cause in our future endeavors. Therefore, this will be a mourning of pain, pride, and obligation for the Armenian nation."
