At This Stage, Armenian Detainees Whose Captivity is Confirmed by Azerbaijan and the Red Cross are Being Returned: Avinyan

Today, a prisoner exchange process took place under the mediation of Russian peacekeepers. A total of 44 of our compatriots officially confirmed to be detained have been transferred from Azerbaijan to Armenia. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page:

“At this stage, those Armenian detainees whose captivity has been confirmed by Azerbaijan and the Red Cross are being returned. The process of finding and organizing the return of other missing and potentially captured compatriots continues intensively. Additional information about the returned detainees will be provided later,” wrote Avinyan.
