Armenia's Internationally Recognized Borders Remain Intact, Says Nikol Pashinyan

During a video address, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the ongoing efforts to clarify the border lines between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Syunik region. He noted, “There was no mention of the territories of Zangelan and Kubatlu in the November 9 statement because, at the time of signing the statement, unfortunately, over 90% of those areas were under Azerbaijani control. During the negotiations, there was an understanding that border lines should be clarified in that section, which is to be carried out in the coming weeks. There are sensitive issues for us in this context, and intensive negotiations are taking place around their management. Armenia’s internationally recognized borders have remained and will remain inviolable. This means that the principle of the inviolability of Armenia's borders cannot be called into question in any way. However, these unresolved issues must be addressed through calm and measured work,” Pashinyan stated.
