Third Airplane from Paris Arrives in Yerevan

On December 11, 2020, the third airplane that departed from Paris landed in Yerevan, bringing humanitarian aid collected by the Aznavour Foundation and its partners. The assistance includes wheelchairs, stretchers, walkers, medical equipment, masks, medications, care supplies, and clothing. Additionally, UNICEF provided school supplies, and the Veolia Foundation donated hygiene products and blankets to the Aznavour Foundation. This information was shared on the foundation's Facebook page.

The aid will be distributed to the affected population in Nagorno-Karabakh in collaboration with our partners. The third flight carrying humanitarian assistance was also organized thanks to the French government, in coordination with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs’ crisis and support center. The official receiving party in Armenia is the French Embassy, led by Ambassador Jonathan Lacôte.

As part of this universal mobilization, two airplanes had already been chartered by the French government in November to provide humanitarian assistance to Armenia. “We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude once again to all the organizations and individuals who helped us collect the necessary goods in France and Switzerland. Our cooperation is ongoing, and soon the fourth airplane will arrive in Yerevan with medical equipment, hygiene products, and warm clothing,” stated Christina Aznavour, Executive Director of the Aznavour Foundation.

“We are committed to human values as long as we are ready to extend a hand to those in need. We believe that only through unity can we overcome these difficult times. I wish to convey my warmth and love to our brothers and sisters from Artsakh,” she added.
