Russian Side Fails to Convince Azerbaijanis: Adjustments Related to Sotk Mine Are Not in Our Favor

Adjustments related to the Sotk mine have not been completed yet, but the process is not in our favor. A mine employee stated that the Russian side has failed to convince the Azerbaijanis that the mining site is located in Armenian territory, and that 70 percent of it cannot pass to the enemy according to the document signed on November 9.

Although the administrative building of the mine is located in Armenian territory, the gold reserves are under Azerbaijani control. The mine has been idle for several weeks; out of 950 workers, only 100 will remain for about two years, after which the Armenian reserves will be completely depleted,” writes the “Hraparak” newspaper.
