Nikol Pashinyan Calls on EEU Countries to Lift Entry Ban for Armenian Citizens

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, once again emphasized the importance of lifting the entry ban for Armenian citizens imposed by several member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), a measure that arose due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Aarmenpress, Pashinyan made these remarks during his speech at an online meeting of the EEU Supreme Council. He stated, "The lack of borders with EEU member countries creates certain difficulties for Armenia. Unimpeded travel and cargo transportation with EEU states is fundamentally important for us. Restrictions in this area are particularly sensitive, which is why it is crucial today to create conditions for lifting the entry bans for Armenian citizens to several EEU countries."

Nikol Pashinyan also expressed his gratitude to the President of Belarus during the EEU Supreme Council meeting at the end of 2020 for the effective and beneficial presidency of the union throughout the year.
