Los Angeles City Council Calls on US Government to Recognize Artsakh's Independence

The Los Angeles City Council has reaffirmed its recognition of Artsakh's independence and urged the United States government to follow suit.

The city council adopted a resolution authored by city council member Paul Krekorian. In 2018, at Krekorian's initiative, the council established 'Artsakh Day' in the city, thereby appealing to the international community to recognize Artsakh's independence as a free and sovereign state.

Additionally, the City of Los Angeles has established friendly relations with the city of Shushi.
