I Am Honored and Based on That Honor, I Am Resigning. Police Major Submits Resignation

I am honored, and based on that honor as well as the value of a police officer's badge and my professional and moral duty, I am leaving my post by submitting a report regarding the termination of my service in the police.

This was announced by Police Major Sergey Martirosyan on his Facebook page.

“Dear colleagues, ladies, and gentlemen, I have been serving in the Police for about twenty years, and all of you who know me will attest to how dedicatedly and selflessly I have performed that service. At the same time, you will also confirm that I can no longer serve injustice; this contradicts both my notions of legality and morality and the oath I have taken. Therefore, I have decided to leave your ranks. I am honored and, based on that honor, the value of a police officer’s badge, and my human and professional duty, I am leaving by submitting a report regarding the termination of my service in the police. May you all be well, and God bless our state and people,” he wrote.
