AAR President: Borjan Sent Our Boys to the Battlefield with His Violin During the Artsakh Liberation War
AAR President Araik Harutyunyan has made a post on his Facebook page regarding the death of Boris Shirini Babayan, a cherished son of Artsakh and a respected figure in the culture of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. He expressed profound sorrow upon learning about the musician's passing.
“The renowned musician rightfully enjoyed the sincere love and respect of his compatriots. During the Artsakh Liberation War, he sent our boys to the battlefield with his violin and later played for the graves of our martyrs, immortalizing their memory,” Harutyunyan stated.
For his significant contributions to the field of culture, Boris Babayan was awarded the Republic of Artsakh's 'Gratitude' medal.
“I extend my deepest condolences on behalf of the people of Artsakh, the authorities, and personally, to the relatives and close ones of the deceased, as well as to all fans of his unparalleled art. The bright memory of violinist Borjan will always remain alive in our people's memory,” he added.
