The Legal Border Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Is Not Yet Finalized, Deputy Prime Minister

Currently, an interagency group is working along the entire length of the Syunik border, preparing legal documents for the upcoming negotiations, which are likely to be held this year with the mediation of Russian partners, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan announced during a Q&A session in the National Assembly.

“The legal border, as such, is not yet finalized between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We have reviewed all the legal documents and maps that will serve as the basis for these negotiations, and discussions will take place in the coming weeks on this agenda,” Tigran Avinyan stated.

Regarding the deployment of armed forces along the border, the Deputy Prime Minister said that final placements along the entire border will occur as a result of agreements and negotiations.
