Helicopter Crashes in France, 5 Dead

A helicopter has crashed in the Savoie department in eastern France. Out of the six people on board, five have died. The sole survivor, the pilot, is in extremely critical condition, according to BFM TV.

The incident occurred yesterday evening, not far from Albertville. Among those aboard were four employees from the aviation navigation service and two rescuers.

Preliminary reports suggest that bad weather may have been a factor in the crash. The helicopter belonged to Service Aérien Français, a company that conducts search and rescue operations as well as various air transport services throughout France.
