Deadline for Issuance of Old Passport Samples to be Extended Again

The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has adopted the package of amendments to the laws on "Passports of the Republic of Armenia" and "Identification Cards" in the first reading. The package was adopted unanimously with 78 votes in favor.

The government-proposed draft suggests extending the deadline for issuing old sample non-biometric passports to Armenian citizens until January 1, 2022, instead of the previously set January 1, 2021.

The second reading of the package will be discussed according to a special procedure.
