Car Collision Leads to Fatalities and Injuries

On December 8, at 04:14 AM, the Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center received reports of a fire in a vehicle on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway. A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a collision occurred at the 53rd kilometer of the Yerevan-Ijevan highway involving a 'Range Rover' and a 'ZIL' vehicle (driver: Shahen G., born in 1978). Before the rescuers arrived, the body of a passenger from the 'Range Rover' was transported by ambulance to Sevan Medical Center.

The rescuers extracted the driver's body from the 'Range Rover' and brought it to the ambulance. The driver of the 'ZIL,' along with passengers Ararat M. (born in 1956) and Movses M. (born in 1963), were also taken to Sevan Medical Center, where they received first aid and were later discharged.

The rescuers also disconnected the vehicles' batteries and shut off the gas cylinder valves.
