Search and Exchange Operations for Fallen Soldiers' Bodies Almost Complete in Shushi and Martakert Directions

The Search and Rescue teams of the Artsakh Emergency Situations Service continue the search operations for the bodies of soldiers who died due to the war. This was reported by the Artsakh Emergency Situations Service.

Since November 13, with the involvement of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Russian peacekeeping forces, the search operations are being carried out by the Artsakh rescue teams and demining groups.

Every day, Major General Karen Sargsyan, the head of the Emergency Situations Service, meets with the parents of the fallen, missing, or captured soldiers. They discuss the results of the search operations carried out by the rescuers, exchange opinions, and make reciprocal suggestions.

The search and exchange operations for the bodies of fallen soldiers are almost complete in the Shushi and Martakert directions, while ongoing in the communities adjacent to Martuni city, in the upper region of Askeran, as well as in the directions of Hadrut and Fizuli.

After negotiations between the parties, the search operations will soon continue in the southern part of Hadrut, which has come under Azerbaijani control, as well as in Mekhakavan and other populated areas.

The Emergency Situations Service is not a negotiating party. The Artsakh rescuers are actively participating in the search operations. Additionally, by order of the service director, Major General Karen Sargsyan, an operational headquarters has been established, where factual information about the soldiers is gathered, mapped, and transmitted to the negotiating parties.
