Marukyan on Possible Meeting with Vazgen Manukyan

During parliamentary hearings, Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction, announced that they have had communications with a representative of the coordinating body of the opposing 16 forces. They have been informed that the 16 forces have decided to present Vazgen Manukyan’s candidacy as a united candidate.

“We respect any party's right to have a candidate for prime minister, but we have also informed that as a parliamentary force, we will participate in the elections with our candidate for prime minister, therefore, we have a candidate for prime minister. And we parted ways respectfully,” said Marukyan.

The leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction noted that there will be a meeting with Vazgen Manukyan, as such an initiative already exists. “We will meet, we will talk, we will communicate. I believe there should not be any way, in any regard to say, ‘my perspective is the correct one, this is how we should proceed.’ When we meet with Mr. Manukyan, he will present his approaches, we will present our approaches, we will discuss, there will be communications,” Marukyan stated.
