Hatred Against Armenians is Encased in a Closed Chain Generated by Azerbaijani Authorities, Arman Tatoyan
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia made a Facebook post addressing the state-sponsored anti-Armenian policies being implemented in Azerbaijan. The post states: "The atrocities of the Azerbaijani forces during this war are the result of an organized anti-Armenian state policy and are directly causally related. This concerns not only physical atrocities but also mental suffering and torture. These are gross violations of human rights.
Moreover, what is particularly dangerous is not just the calls for the extermination of Armenians but the deep-rooted sowing of ethnic hatred. For instance, regarding Artsakh, the false claims by the President of Azerbaijan that Armenians keep cows and pigs in mosques and desecrate Azerbaijani religious monuments. Or the false statements that Armenia is a country devoid of values, artificially created on Azerbaijani land.
The behavior and speech of Azerbaijani servicemen in the videos they made of the very atrocities they performed confirm this: they are vindictive, quenching their thirst for blood, and evidently knowing that they will not only remain unpunished but will receive great praise from the authorities and society. This means that hatred against Armenians is encased in a closed chain generated by Azerbaijani authorities, including high-ranking bodies, and is then widely encouraged by cultural and public figures with almost the same phrasing, receiving public acclaim, often specifically targeting children.
Tomorrow, we will publish a comprehensive report substantiating all of this with concrete and objective evidence, specially prepared in cooperation with the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh."
