In the last 24 hours, Russia has reported 29,039 new cases of coronavirus infection, setting a new record since the beginning of the pandemic. This information was provided by the operational headquarters for combating the infection, as reported by the TASS news agency.

The previous maximum was recorded on Saturday, with 28,782 cases. In total, there have been 2,460,770 confirmed cases of infection in Russia. Over the past day, 457 people have died from the virus in Russia, while the previous day, that number was 508. In total, 43,141 patients have died from coronavirus in Russia.
