World-Famous Armenians Join Campaign for Release of Armenian War Prisoners

Hollywood stars have joined the campaign demanding an end to the torture of Armenian war prisoners and their release. Among the notable figures participating are world-renowned singer Cher, famous reality star Kim Kardashian, and notable rock musician Serj Tankian, who are using social media platforms to highlight the unacceptable treatment faced by dozens of Armenians held captive by Azerbaijan. They are urging world leaders to respond to Azerbaijan's aggressive actions.

Human Rights Watch has also sounded the alarm about the inhumane treatment of ethnic Armenians by Azerbaijani forces during the 44-day war over Nagorno-Karabakh. The reputable organization reported in a special report that videos circulating online show incidents where 'Azerbaijanis slap, punch, stab with sharp objects, drag on the ground, and kneel Armenian war prisoners, evidently aiming to humiliate them.'
