Vazgen Manukyan to Announce How to Bring the Country Back to Life

Former Prime Minister Vazgen Manukyan has been designated by 17 political parties demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Naturally, this development has sparked intense discussions.

Specifically, aside from a very small number of 'Pashinyan supporters,' those who identify themselves as 'Levon supporters' and representatives of the civil sector funded by Western resources have suddenly become significantly more active and have expressed obvious negative attitudes. These groups do not hesitate to employ any means in their smear campaigns.

The newspaper 'Fact' reports that several opposition figures state that the very nature and diversity of the critics indicates that the opposition's choice is correct, and that the 17 parties have indeed hit the nail on the head.

Additionally, the publication 'Joughourd' has learned that the extra-parliamentary opposition had a plan in place for the successor to Prime Minister Pashinyan to govern the country for 3-4 months. This period would be utilized to organize snap parliamentary elections in Armenia. According to the plan set forth by the 17 parties, they anticipate new parliamentary elections in Armenia by late March and early April.

However, sources indicate that during a recent meeting with nominated Prime Minister Vazgen Manukyan, it was stated that achieving stability and conducting elections in such a short period is impossible. It was decided that if a national consensus government is established in Armenia, the Prime Minister should hold elections after one year. During that year, Manukyan would lead the country, distancing himself from his party, the Armenian National Congress, and refraining from participating in the parliamentary elections altogether.

Today, during a nationwide rally at Freedom Square, Vazgen Manukyan is expected to present details on how he envisions mechanisms for revitalizing the country over the course of one year and plans to implement during his premiership.
