Today, the Turk walks under the walls of Dadivank: Abbot of Dadivank

Dear faithful people, today I am very sad that we have lost part of the territory of Artsakh, where today the bodies of our soldiers are located, in the enemy-occupied territories, yet we consider ourselves proud citizens. This was stated today by Father Hovhannes Khachaturyan, the abbot of the Dadivank monastic complex, during a rally of the "Homeland Salvation Movement" at Liberty Square.

"Can you tell me the reason why we are proud citizens? Pride is a great sin. Today, many countries that are not at war do not call themselves proud citizens, but after losing our territories, leaving our soldiers' bodies there, we consider ourselves proud citizens. I know you have come to raise your rightful voice, but there are people who want to turn all this into a fight. If such people exist, I ask that tomorrow, or the day after, we gather and go to the places where we should fight. To the border, where the enemy is waiting for us. We must cleanse our country; this is just the beginning. Today, a Turk walks under the walls of Dadivank. Yesterday, the Udin people served there, but in the presence of our clergy. Today, we must think about this. We must strengthen our faith and our love. Do you know when we started to lose? When we began to cause division among our people—whites versus reds, Artsakh Armenians versus Armenian citizens, but we are all Armenian. Divine love must be within us. We will go and win; our territories are waiting for us," he said.
