Hayk Marutyan Criticizes Pashinyan, Blaming Him for Current Issues
“The demand for Nikol Pashinyan's resignation and the protests unfolding in the country have resonated within the structures under the Yerevan City Hall. We were informed that calls are being made from Pashinyan's team to some district leaders who have connections with the previous administration or have not hidden their dissatisfaction with Pashinyan, demanding that they write their resignation. Specifically, the names of Hayk Sargsyan and his brother, Nairi Sargsyan, are mentioned as the 'pushers of resignation.' However, the district leaders are resisting and are not complying with the illegal orders. It was alleged that attempts were made to involve the mayor in this matter as well, but Hayk Marutyan has been at odds with the prime minister for a while; he has dared to refuse to fulfill some of Pashinyan's whims, leading to highly tense relations between them.
Furthermore, Marutyan has instructed his subordinates to communicate with the government only in writing. He does not miss the opportunity to express his discontent and blame Pashinyan. Recently, during a meeting attended by district leaders, Marutyan made quite a strong statement against Pashinyan, stating that he is to blame for everything and that he has brought the country to this state. In fact, it seems that not only Pashinyan is looking for scapegoats, but also other high-ranking officials,” writes the newspaper “Hraparak.” Read the full article in today’s edition of the newspaper.
