Uninterrupted Entry and Exit of All Types of Cargo Vehicles Restored at Bagratashen Customs Point from December 1

The Bagratashen customs point of the State Revenue Committee has returned to normal operations as of December 1. The uninterrupted entry and exit of all types of cargo vehicles through the checkpoint has been restored.

According to Gegham Vanunu, head of the Bagratashen customs checkpoint division of the Eastern customs office of the SRC, operations are being conducted 24 hours a day at the customs point, providing high-quality customs services to those crossing the border. “The flow of cargo vehicles is increasing day by day at the customs point that has returned to normal operational mode. Between December 1 and 3, around 1700 cargo vehicles crossed the border at the Bagratashen customs point. On December 1, this figure was 410, and on December 3 alone, approximately 700 cargo vehicles crossed the border,” Vanunu assured.

He emphasized that the customs point is fully staffed with necessary personnel and equipment to ensure that services are as quick and comfortable as possible, allowing those crossing the border to complete the entire customs clearance process in a short period of time.

It is noteworthy that on September 28, in the context of a state of martial law, the State Revenue Committee had recommended that vehicles with Armenian license plates opt for the Bavra customs point instead of Bagratashen due to security concerns regarding border crossing.

Meanwhile, the normal operations of the Gogavani customs point have also been restored as of December 1, which had been temporarily suspended for road repairs in the Georgian section.
