Tigran Avinyan Receives US Ambassador to Armenia Lyn Tracy
On December 4, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received US Ambassador to Armenia Lyn Tracy, the Deputy Prime Minister's press office reports.
During the meeting, Tigran Avinyan emphasized that the government is determined to accelerate the reform program initiated in previous years, and that efforts are currently underway to develop an anti-crisis economic program. The parties discussed issues related to the investment and business environment on the bilateral agenda and aspects of digitization.
Ambassador Tracy stated that Armenian-American cooperation in facing common challenges and advancing reforms in Armenia will create greater opportunities for mutual prosperity.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh are making significant efforts to address the humanitarian situation created by Azerbaijani aggression and highlighted the importance of support from international partners, including the United States, and its further expansion in this context. The American side outlined ongoing humanitarian assistance efforts provided by the United States.
Regarding the exchange of captives, Tigran Avinyan remarked that the principle of “all for all” should be applied, adding that everything possible is being done on the Armenian side to expedite the process. Ambassador Tracy expressed her readiness to engage in constructive dialogue with the Deputy Prime Minister on how the United States can be helpful in these efforts.
