NSS Sends Notification to Gagik Tsarukyan

The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia's investigative department has sent another notification to National Assembly deputy Gagik Tsarukyan, inviting him for additional questioning on December 5 at 2:30 PM. This was announced by one of Tsarukyan's defenders, Emin Khachatryan, on his Facebook page.

He specifically noted: “This is yet another striking fact of political persecution and disconnection from reality... I would like to inform you that the NSS investigative department, adhering to its tradition of creating shameful practices, has sent another notification to National Assembly deputy Gagik Tsarukyan to be invited for additional questioning on December 5, 2020, at 2:30 PM. On the same day, just 30 minutes before the rally scheduled to take place at Liberty Square at 3:00 PM, calling Gagik Tsarukyan to the NSS investigative department on a non-working day, in my opinion, has only one aim: to deprive him of the opportunity to participate in the rally at Liberty Square and address the Armenian people.

Gagik Tsarukyan and his defense team have repeatedly stated that the actions occurring over the last six months are solely manifestations of political persecution, and this latest notification is one of the clear and vivid manifestations of that... By the way, the authorities in Armenia are so disconnected from reality that instead of addressing the pressing issues facing our homeland, they are day and night preoccupied with the baseless and fabricated agenda of stripping Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the largest parliamentary opposition force, of his deputy mandate... It is regrettable...

P.S. It is noteworthy that Gagik Tsarukyan often finds himself needing to be questioned due to various criminal cases just minutes before upcoming rallies... I have long ceased to believe in such coincidences, and I leave the conclusions to the rational and objective part of our society...
