Macron Does Not Respond to Erdogan's Offensive Statement

French President Emmanuel Macron has not responded to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s provocative remarks, in which he described him as a "burden for France."

“I believe in respect,” Macron stated in an interview with the French publication Brut, according to РИА Новости.

“Insults are not the right method between political leaders,” the French leader emphasized.

Erdogan had previously declared that France is experiencing a very dangerous period, expressing hope that the republic would “free itself from Macron’s burden as soon as possible.”
