Social Support to Be Provided to Communities Beyond Artsakh Control

The government will provide six-month social support to adults registered in communities that have fallen outside the control of the Republic of Artsakh due to military actions, as reported by the operational headquarters of the Artsakh government in Armenia.

A host is defined as a physical person who owns residential real estate in the Republic of Armenia or in areas under the control of the Republic of Artsakh, and who provides accommodation to the displaced individual for the months of December 2020 and January-May 2021.

Social assistance will be provided monthly in the form of cash aid: 30,000 AMD for each hosted citizen if the accommodation is in the Republic of Armenia, and 45,000 AMD if the accommodation is in the Republic of Artsakh.

To benefit from this program, applications must be submitted electronically:
1) For December 2020, applications will be accepted from December 25 to January 12, 2021, inclusive.
2) For the months of January-May 2021, applications can be submitted from the 25th of each month until the 5th of the following month, inclusive.

Social support for one hosted individual is provided only once per month. The aid will be distributed through Haypost and Artsakhpost.

According to this initiative, individuals owning residential real estate in the Republic of Armenia or areas under the control of the Republic of Artsakh are not considered hosts.
