US Believes Israel Behind Killing of Iranian Scientist: CNN

A senior official from the US administration has stated that Washington believes Israel was behind the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. This information was reported by CNN.

According to sources from the television network, Israel has long been engaged in a "manhunt" for this scientist. Typically, the Jewish state has kept the US administration informed about such preparatory actions. However, the official did not specify whether this was the case this time.

The official declined to clarify whether US President Donald Trump was aware of the planned attack against Fakhrizadeh or if he approved US support for Israel in this matter. It is noteworthy that Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a leading figure in Iran's nuclear program who headed the Center for Research and Innovation affiliated with the Ministry of Defense, was assassinated on November 27. After being injured during the attack, the scientist died in the hospital.
