Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the President of Russia, has responded to news regarding the proposal to grant the Russian language official status in Nagorno-Karabakh. This information was reported by the Baghramyan 26 Telegram channel.
“The Russian language is used in both Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, as well as in Azerbaijan and several countries around the world. Russian is utilized because it serves as a convenient means of communication. We welcome this and consider the spread of the Russian language to be our responsibility. This is a factual situation where Russian is spoken both in Armenia and in Azerbaijan. The issue of granting official status to the Russian language is an internal matter for any country, whether it concerns Armenia or Azerbaijan,” he stated.
