One-Time Financial Assistance to Citizens of Communities in Armenia Affected by War
The government has submitted for approval a measure aimed at providing financial assistance to compensate for the property damage incurred by citizens in various communities of the Republic of Armenia due to shelling during the war unleashed by the Republic of Azerbaijan starting on September 27, 2020.
As reported by Armenpress, the justification for the draft indicates that beneficiaries have suffered property damage as a result of the war, leading to a number of social issues that require financial resources to address.
To solve the existing problems, it is proposed to provide support to the beneficiaries in the form of one-time monetary assistance based on the financial resources allocated by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia and the Urban Development Committee of Armenia, with information collected from the respective regional administrations.
The assistance will be provided to residents of the border communities of Davit Bek and Nerkhin Khndzoresk in the Syunik province, as well as the Chay-Zami area of Kapan, who have suffered property damage.
