Artsakh's Ombudsman Updates List of Prisoners of War
The Office of the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh has identified nearly 60 prisoners of war from recently discovered videos, although the identities of only a small portion have been clarified.
This information was shared by Artsakh's Human Rights Defender, Artak Beglaryan. “We continuously update our lists of captives based on published videos, evidence presented by relatives, as well as data collected from testimonies, calls, and other forms of evidence. We are also conducting separate fact-finding activities regarding residents who are missing or have been forcibly disappeared, numbering around 40,” Beglaryan stated.
“All collected data is regularly provided to state and international authorities with the expectation of effective work towards the protection of the rights of prisoners and ensuring their return. We have special cooperation with the Human Rights Defender of Armenia and individual lawyers for the exchange of information and other relevant processes,” he added.
