Artsakh President and Armenian Defense Minister Meet with Families of Missing and Captured Soldiers
At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, a meeting was held today, December 2, with the families of soldiers who have gone missing or have been captured as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27.
The President presented the results of the recent search operations and noted that negotiations are ongoing on a daily basis with the responsible officials from the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Artsakh and the International Committee of the Red Cross office in Stepanakert.
President Harutyunyan also listened to the suggestions made by those present and assured them that all efforts are directed towards clarifying the fate of our servicemen. An agreement was reached to make the information connection more efficient and to promptly communicate every verified piece of information about the servicemen to their families.
Participants in the meeting included the Armenian and Artsakh Defense Ministers, Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Mikael Arzumanyan, the Director of the Artsakh State Emergency Service, Karen Sargsyan, and the Artsakh Human Rights Defender, Artak Beglaryan.
