Armenian Minister of Economy Welcomes Officials from Austrian Development Agency

The newly appointed Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, met on December 2 with Alexander Kahrner, head of the South Caucasus office of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), and Nora Alanakyan, deputy head of the Technical Cooperation Office at the Austrian Embassy in Yerevan. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Economy Arman Khojoyan and Tigran Gabrielyan.

During the meeting, the guests briefly presented the main mission of the Austrian Development Agency, particularly the programs and initiatives being implemented in Armenia's agricultural sector. The dialogue included discussions on the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation and the most effective directions for joint new projects.

Minister Vahan Kerobyan emphasized the importance of taking joint steps to enhance the effectiveness of ongoing programs.

Following the discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and the Austrian Development Agency, focusing on expert consulting and advisory support in the areas of policy and legislative development. The memorandum was signed by Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan and Alexander Kahrner.

This memorandum aims to provide expert and advisory support to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia for the development of agricultural policy and the improvement of the legislative framework, ensuring the necessary conditions for the development of Green Agriculture in Armenia.
