The Discussion on the Reopening of Stepanakert Airport Should Also Be Addressed in the Context of the Trilateral Statement, Says Davit Babayan
The advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Davit Babayan, emphasizes that in the context of the transportation routes' unblocking outlined in the statement signed by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, the reopening of the Stepanakert airport should also be discussed.
Davit Babayan made this remark during an interview with Armenpress. He stated, “With the support of the Russian side, the reopening of the Stepanakert airport will create a second important route connecting us to the outside world. Furthermore, once the airport is reopened, it could serve as a significant transport hub and provide solutions to socio-economic problems.”
Babayan added that, according to his information, during military operations, the Stepanakert airport was targeted, but there was no serious damage.
