Peskov Comments on Aliyev's Statement Regarding the Nakhchivan-Azerbaijan Corridor
The Press Secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, did not comment on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's statement that the presidents of the Russian Federation and Turkey have responded positively to the idea of creating a corridor connecting Nakhchivan with Azerbaijan's western regions.
“In particular, I will leave this topic without comment. I would just like to remind you that one or two weeks ago, in one of the reports about the phone conversation between Putin and Aliyev, we mentioned that the leaders discussed the development of transport communications and unblocking in the region, among other issues,” Peskov told reporters.
According to him, “transport communication issues are on the agenda and are being discussed by the leaders.”
