MP Gor Gevorgyan Leaves the 'My Step' Faction in the National Assembly

The MP of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, Gor Gevorgyan, has announced his decision to leave the faction and continue his work in parliament as an independent MP. He shared this information on his Facebook page.

"I reaffirm that national solidarity and unity, as well as political stability, are unquestionable priorities for me. Institutional solutions to the problems faced by Armenia and Artsakh can only be achieved through national consolidation, political stability, and unwavering adherence to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. In recent days, I have tried to direct my efforts towards dialogue with my colleagues, soberly assessing the situation and finding more effective solutions for our State. At the same time, based on the evident realities that have surfaced during this period and the existing fundamental disagreements regarding several key and problematic issues facing our State, I have decided to exit the 'My Step' faction and continue fulfilling my obligations to my constituents as an independent MP.

I also want to emphasize that the most important motivation for starting my political activity has been the idea of contributing to the construction of a new and stronger Armenia. Throughout my life and my activities, I have never been constrained in expressing my thoughts and stating my position, and in this regard, I believe that the decision made will also be understandable to those colleagues in the faction who know better about my obligation to always remain faithful to my principles and values. From now on, I will continue to serve my homeland as much as my abilities allow. I share the pain and sorrow of my people, and I bow before the graves of all the martyrs, the heroic fighters, and the Armenian army," wrote the MP.
