Governor Visits Bazum Community to Inspect Road Paving Works
In the Bazum community, Lori province governor Andrey Ghukasian inspected the road paving works. The local roads on the 2nd, 3rd, and 7th streets, as well as the first section of the 1st street, are undergoing renovation using tuff stone. The total length of the renovated sections is approximately 760 linear meters.
The contractual value of the project is 23.46 million drams, comprising 12.9 million from state funding and 10.56 million from community investment. The work is in progress, with about 85 percent of the total volume completed.
It is noteworthy that this year, road improvement projects using tuff stone are being implemented in seven communities of Lori province: Bazum, Metsavan, Hartagosh, Arevashoogh, Jrashen, Akhtala, and Arjut. Overall, 6.8 kilometers of roads are being renovated using this method, which the province's governor considers an effective option in terms of road durability and financial affordability.
