Gegham Manukyan and Others Halt Hunger Strike at the Urge of the Catholicos

Gegham Manukyan, a representative of the Dashnaktsutyun Party, who has been on a hunger strike in front of the government for several days demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, announced on his Facebook page that they are halting the hunger strike.

“Dear comrades, friends, and relatives. On the 9th day of our collective hunger strike, the Catholicos of All Armenians visited us in front of the Government building. He spoke with us for quite some time, urging us to stop the hunger strike, as there are other ways to fight. We had received many similar requests in the past days, but we continued our actions. It was difficult to refuse the Supreme Patriarch. Starting today, alongside my fellow fighters, we are halting the hunger strike and will continue our struggle. A new day, a new FIGHT. Nikol must leave immediately. I will provide more details this evening. Thank you for your support, solidarity, and care,” he stated.
