Artashat Police Discover Illegal Ammunition and Significant Amount of Drugs

The Artashat Police department received information that a 39-year-old resident of Shahumyan village in the Ararat region was storing illegal military supplies and drugs at home, according to the police report.

On November 27, the suspect was detained by the Artashat Police department. During a search of his backyard on the same day, authorities found 1800 grams of greenish substance in containers, as well as a grenade with a detonator, 44 rounds of various calibers, and a magazine.

According to the 39-year-old man, the discovered plant substance is cannabis, which he had harvested from wild shrubs for personal use, and he claimed that he acquired the ammunition while participating in self-defense battles in Artsakh. Expert examinations have been appointed, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
