The Heating Issue at Chinari School Will Be Resolved, Says Principal
Students in grades 4 and up at Chinari School have transitioned to indefinite remote learning due to a heating issue. According to the school's principal, Eliza Bilyan, the problem is new and the regional administration is aware and is addressing the matter. She stated, “The heating system has been renovated, but there is an issue with gas connection. The regional governor's office has said that they are working on this issue.”
She added that classrooms for grades 1-4 are being heated using electric heaters.
It should be noted that, according to the order No. 09-N issued by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia on May 20, 2020, remote learning is organized for grades 5-12 in public educational institutions if public transport operates in the community. Chinari is not such a community.
