Surik Papikyan Introduces Newly Appointed Governor of Kotayk

Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Surik Papikyan today introduced Mesrop Mesropyan, the newly appointed governor, to the staff of the Kotayk regional administration. This was reported by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.

While congratulating and wishing him success, Minister Papikyan expressed hope that Mesrop Mesropyan, assuming the position of Kotayk governor during a notably decisive period, would be able to best utilize his extensive experience for the benefit of the region and the state.

“We are living in an unprecedentedly complex and problem-filled period after the Artsakh war, which requires strong will and determination to overcome, and we must invest all our energy to keep the backbone of our statehood intact. In this context, I highly value the role of territorial administration and local self-government bodies,” said Minister Papikyan.

The minister also thanked Deputy Governor Arnak Avetisyan, as well as the staff of the regional administration, local self-government leaders, and employees for their high responsibility, resilience, and organization of rear operations in recent months, urging them to continue their diligent and dedicated work in the public service sector.

Governor Mesrop Mesropyan stated in his remarks that he accepts the extent and weight of the responsibility to overcome this challenging period with a high level of awareness and is ready to apply his expertise and skills to swiftly address the issues arising from the post-war situation and ensure the stable development of the region.
