Spokesperson Responds to Reports of Pashinyan's Anticipated Visit to Moscow
In recent days, several media outlets and Telegram channels have circulated reports about Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's possible visit to Moscow. According to the publications, he was scheduled to depart for Moscow on December 4; however, these reports were refuted shortly after.
In relation to this matter, AuroraNews spoke with the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Mane Gevorgyan. It is worth noting that the 'Mediaport' Telegram channel reported that Pashinyan’s trip to Russia was canceled because the Armenian Prime Minister was unable to secure a high-level meeting with Russian leadership. According to the channel, all efforts for a bilateral meeting between Pashinyan and Putin have failed, and that the head of the Prime Minister’s protocol has been recalled to Yerevan.
In our conversation, the Prime Minister’s spokesperson stated, “Firstly, I do not intend to comment on any article from a Telegram channel of questionable origin. Only one Telegram channel is writing about the Prime Minister’s visit to Moscow. Please also check the reports from the Eurasian Economic Commission on their Facebook page, where you can see the format of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting taking place in Moscow.”
It should be noted that Iya Malkina, assistant to the chairman of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission, wrote on her Facebook page that the meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union will be held on December 4 in a videoconference format.
