Hovik Aghazaryan Plans to Appeal to Court

As I promised, after clarifying the circumstances, I will once again respond to the statement made by military doctor Taron Tonoyan. This was written by Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly, on his Facebook page.

He specifically mentioned: “Recently, I met with the individual mentioned by Taron Tonoyan, Karen Ayvazyan. He returned from the front lines on November 25. After talking to him and reviewing all the documents, I am convinced that he listened to my advice and his actions after being left in Berdzor were, in my opinion, within the framework of legality. After receiving medical assistance in Berdzor and necessary treatment in Yerevan, Karen Ayvazyan returned to the front lines. I also find it necessary to note that Karen Ayvazyan did not participate in the rally mentioned by Taron Tonoyan.”

“I have addressed the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia to investigate the facts stated in Taron Tonoyan's declaration and to provide a legal assessment. If Taron Tonoyan does not come forth with a public denial within five days, I also intend to appeal to the court.”

It is noteworthy that on November 21, during a rally demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Freedom Square, military doctor Taron Tonoyan stated that 'My Step' faction member Hovik Aghazaryan had kidnapped the brother of an employee of the Ararat regional administration, who recently defended Nikol Pashinyan in front of the government with his friends. In response to Taron Tonoyan's statement, Hovik Aghazaryan wrote on his Facebook page that the individual in question did not cross the checkpoint with his assistance and promised to pursue the subsequent developments related to this incident.

It should be reminded that Taron Tonoyan declared that Hovik Aghazaryan confessed that he himself brought the brother of the Ararat regional administration employee to Berdzor and then let him out of the car.
