Consultation with the Prime Minister on Soldiers' Issues: Parents to Visit the Ministry of Defense Tomorrow for Answers
During a meeting with the Prime Minister, we presented our demand that our soldiers be transferred from Artsakh and continue their service in Armenia. Today, we were informed that our children are returning only for leave, which begins on December 1. This was stated by one of the parents during a rally in front of the Government on November 30, addressing the crowd.
“In addition to this, there has been a consultation with the Prime Minister today, and the Minister of Defense was also present for discussions about initiating the replacement process. This means that soldiers from a unit serving in Armenia will go to replace those serving in Artsakh. The latter will stay in Armenia for a period of recuperation. It’s possible that this will occur alongside their leave. This matter is being discussed as a basis,” he noted.
The Prime Minister's assistant justified that since discussions are ongoing today, the Minister of Defense needs to attend, and following the results of the discussions, directives will be issued. They are ready to meet with us tomorrow. Perhaps it makes sense to meet tomorrow and hear a response. Our presence here today or going to the Ministry of Defense is pointless,” he said, adding that their meeting at the Ministry of Defense will take place tomorrow morning at 10 AM.
Regarding the leave, one of the parents mentioned that they agreed on a 7-day leave so that all children could return by New Year’s. This concluded today’s rally.
