Video: The Intellectuals' March Concludes in Yerevan
Intellectuals in Yerevan today, on November 29, concluded their demonstration by delivering a letter to the Russian Embassy. Actor Hrant Tokhatyan expressed hope that the letter would be read and that they expect a response. “We need to continue our march to the other embassies, to the embassies of the co-chairing countries of the Minsk Group — the USA, France, and we will approach the international organizations that are supposed to address this issue, including the embassies of England and China,” said Hrant Tokhatyan, informing that today’s march has concluded.
Hrant Tokhatyan stated that they requested not to include photos of the missing persons and prisoners in order to avoid harming the process. “I urge everyone not to politicize this matter; the platform is open, all partners can join, but each of us has our own thinking; however, today that doesn’t matter. It would be foolishness, hostility if someone tries to give this a political context,” he said.
Ruben Mkrtchyan, summarizing the march, mentioned that they would inform about the further action plan and suggested concluding today’s march with applause to reach the boys, wherever they are. Producer Armen Grigoryan also added that if anyone has information, there is a group of lawyers addressing the issues of prisoners and missing persons. “This is the legal team of Artak Zeynalyan and Siranush Sahakyan, and they are compiling lists. If you have any information, please contact them,” he noted.
