Insulting Evaluations of Artsakh Residents in Social Media Are Unacceptable: Ombudsman

Insulting evaluations of our compatriots from Artsakh are absolutely unacceptable in social media. This was stated by the Ombudsman of Armenia.

“Our research shows that discriminatory, and in some cases, even expressions amounting to internal hostility are allowed. Moreover, they are often incited by fake or dubious accounts. The high dignity and honor of the Armenian citizens of Artsakh are a bright symbol of the unity of all Armenians. Now, more than ever, we need solidarity and to be united. These mentioned detrimental phenomena only increase tension and create obstacles for urgent solutions to existing problems.”

“Dear compatriots, please refrain from engaging in such 'discussions' regardless of who is doing it or in what groups it is taking place and what types of issues are being exploited (social, political, etc.),” he wrote.
