Russia's Role in Ceasing War in Artsakh Appreciated by Lukashenko
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has positively assessed Russia's role and actions in the conflict resolution between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Artsakh during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
According to Russian news outlets, Lukashenko, referring to the ceasefire, particularly stated, “I would very much like to congratulate you on what has happened in the Caucasus. Hooray! It is clear that there will be costs, and there will be criticism. However, it is a very positive and good sign that thanks to Russia, the war has been suspended in many aspects, that people are not dying there, and that, albeit still new, you are starting a long road to stabilize relations in the Caucasus. I support such a stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
