Azerbaijan's Parliament Proposes France Be Withdrawn from OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship
The Azerbaijani parliament has urged the government to address the OSCE, requesting the withdrawal of France from the Minsk Group co-chairmanship. According to reports from Armenpress, this statement was made public by the parliament, as reported by TASS.
“The Milli Majlis calls upon the Azerbaijani government to approach the leadership of the OSCE to withdraw France from the Minsk Group co-chairmanship,” the statement read.
The parliament also called for a review of current political relations between Azerbaijan and France and suggested recalling the Azerbaijani ambassador in Paris for consultations.
This move by Azerbaijan's parliament follows the approval of a draft resolution by the French Senate on the necessity of recognizing the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh on the evening of November 25.
